Content

Configuration - Basic Settings

To start the logger, click on the 'Launch' icon at the top of the screen, or select Logger –> Launch from the  menu bar.

The default settings may be left as they are for many applications, but you may want to consider changing the Description or the Logging Interval.

When you are happy with the settings, click Launch

Configuration - Advanced Settings

To change the advanced settings of the logger, click 'Advanced >>' at the bottom of the launch screen.

This reveals more options for the logger's settings, such as:

Start Options:
Delay (or Relative start time): The logger will wait for the amount of time specified before beginning to take measurements. The time will begin counting down when the launch is complete.
Absolute Start Time: You can specify a date and time when you want the logger to begin taking measurements.

Additional to the Relative and Absolute Start Time options, some data loggers also support a Trigger Start feature. This can be turned on by checking the 'Wait until trigger event' box. The logger will start taking measurements at a later time by passing a magnet across the unit.

Measurements:
Here, you can set what measurements you want the logger to take. This can be Temperature and/or RH (if applicable - depending on the logger being launched), and the Minimum and/or Maximum readings for each measurement interval.

Stop Options:
You can set when you want the logger to stop taking measurements.
Indefinitely: The logger will continue to take measurements until it is manually aborted. Note: once the maximum capacity has been reached, the logger will overwrite previous measurements.
Stop After...: You can set the logger to stop after a certain number of readings.
When Full: Once the maximum capacity has been reached, the logger will stop taking measurements.

Alarms:
This setting will activate an alarm if the requirements are met. You can choose whether the alarm is for the RH readings or Temperature readings (if applicable), if the value goes above or below the threshold, and the threshold itself. For example: Alarm 1 - Temperature - Above - 60
The alarm will be set off if the temperature goes above 60 degrees Celsius. For some loggers, there is an option to set a delay on the alarm. This allows time for the issue to correct itself.
For radio loggers, the alarm will be displayed on screen, and (if set up) an e-mail will be sent to your chosen e-mail address after approximately 6 minutes.
For all other loggers, the red light will flash.
