Using third-party PT100 and PT1000 probes with Tinytag data loggers

Tinytag data loggers can be used with third-party PT100 and PT1000 probes. Information on how to connect third-party probes to your Tinytag data logger can be found in this article.

We supply a range of PT100 and PT1000 probes for use with Tinytag data loggers, but third-party probes can be used with Tinytags if required.

We recommend the use of 3-wire, class A sensors.

2-wire and 4-wire sensors can be used, but accuracy is reduced when 2-wire sensors are used and Tinytag data loggers will not read the fourth wire of 4-wire sensors.

To connect your probe to a Tinytag data logger, you will need an ACS-9703 5-pin plug.

Please refer to the ACS-9703 datasheet attached to this page (below) for wiring instructions for 2, 3 and 4-wire PT100 and PT1000 sensors (see Connection Information 2).
