If you have received the error message 'There has been
an error in logger communications' in your Tinytag
software, then a problem has occurred between your software and the
data logger you are using.
1. Check data logger battery status
First, make sure that your data logger has a good battery
fitted.
If you know that your data logger has a good battery, proceed to
the steps below. If your data logger's battery is running flat, it
will not be able to connect to the Tinytag software. You can
purchase a battery service kit for your data logger here:
Tinytag Service Kits.
2. Ensure you are using a Gemini Data Loggers USB
cable/pad
USB cables and pads supplied by Gemini Data Loggers are the only
supported connections for use with Tinytag products. The range of
USB cables and pads currently supplied by Gemini Data Loggers can
be found here: Offload
Connections.
If you are using an unsupported serial cable/pad (or a serial
cable with a USB serial converter), the connection will not be as
reliable and the error is likely to recur.
If the error persists after you have applied the fixes, please
contact us or contact your supplier for further assistance.
