The step-by-step guide below will help you to troubleshoot the
error message 'This logger doesn't work with this version of the
software' in Tinytag Explorer, Tinytag Explorer Connect and Tinytag
1. Check that your software is up-to-date
You can check to see if you are running the latest version of
the software here.
If you are not running the latest version of the software,
upgrade your software for free here: Tinytag
2. Reset your data logger
If your software is up-to-date, but the error message persists,
your data logger may need to be reset.
To reset your data logger, remove the data logger's battery,
leave the device for five minutes, then reinsert the battery.
Once you have done this, connect the data logger to your Tinytag
software again to see if the error message has cleared and you are
able to offload data.
3. Restart your data logger in the Tinytag
If resetting your data logger does not resolve the error
message, and assuming that the data on the logger is not
important*, try restarting the data logger in the software.
To restart your data logger, go to Logger then
Launch. If the logger will download after being
restarted, the problem has been resolved.
*Please note: Restarting your data logger will
clear all of the data on your data logger, so only
perform this action if the data on your logger does not need to be
