Problems connecting to my logger
Tinytag Explorer will automatically detect data loggers when they are started or downloaded. If you are having trouble connecting your data logger to the software, follow these steps.

If the USB cable/pad drivers for the Tinytag Explorer software have not installed correctly, you will need to install them manually.
Before manually installing USB drivers, you should check whether the drivers have installed correctly.
If your device is not listed as a USB Serial Port, it may be listed as a Gemini USB cable with a yellow exclamation mark next to it under 'Unknown' or 'Other Devices'. If this is the case, you will need to manually install the drivers for your USB cable or pad by following the instructions below.
If your device is listed under 'Ports (COM and LPT)' as a USB Serial Port and you have checked that Tinytag Explorer's 'Use Fully Automatic Com Port Detection' setting is turned on (see above) but your USB device is still unable to connect, please contact your supplier or email [email protected] for further assistance.
If your device is still listed with a yellow exclamation mark against it, repeat the above process once again. This will set the device up as a COM port (the installation is a two-step process, first installing the drivers for the cable/pad, and then setting up the cable/pad as COM port).
When you have completed the installation for the second time, the device should move to 'Ports (COM and LPT)' and be listed as a USB Serial Port (with a 'COM' port number after it) and your USB cable or pad should be ready to use.
If you have followed all of the above steps and are still unable to communicate with your data logger, please contact your supplier or email [email protected] for further assistance.
Still need help?
Tinytag Explorer will automatically detect data loggers when they are started or downloaded. If you are having trouble connecting your data logger to the software, follow these steps.
The display on a Tinyview or Tinytag View 2 data logger will only show readings while the unit is recording. If your device has a blank screen, it may have stopped recording or the battery might need replacing.
This error message will occur in your software if there is a communication problem between the Tinytag software and the data logger being used.
